About every 1 in 5 high school students have experienced some mental health disorder. We hear the term "burnt out" on a daily bases, yet little effort is made to prevent it. In reality, as soon as we, as young adults and students, got caught up in the busy schedule, we forget how to rest properly.
It's time to bring back the Art of Resting
Hi! We are The Shield Initiative.
We are here to solve stress-related mental issues among teens from its root. As much as students need to learn how to be busy and productive to prepare for their future, we need to learn how to rest effectively, and healthily. Through connecting students with NGOs, we aim to bring accessible, professional, and shame-free art therapy services to campuses and weave a habit of self-care into the daily schedule of our youth.
